Newts lost in the WRU Bowl match at home to Llandaff North.
The first half was dominated by the Visitors who took full advantage of some poor defending and getting on the wrong side of the Referee.
A stream of penalties continually put North on the front foot and they ran in four tries and a conversion. The proverbial game of two halves saw the Newts finally show some belief and aggression.
They came back to score a try by Skipper Ryan Thomas and a Brace from Ieuan Breen the second of which was a fine seventy yard individual effort.
